This wine is made with a unique mixture of the typical grape varietals grown for centuries in the Oltrepò Pavese region: Pinot Nero, Barbera, Croatina, Uva Rara and Vespolina. We conceived this new recipe by merging Pinot Nero’s must with the other grapes’ must only after the first fermentation. Then, the two still young wines are joined and let slowly blend together to allow for a complete homogeneous combination of flavors and scents.
To the eye, Innominato has a dark ruby red color with navy blue shades, and turns slightly brown when aged. At the nose, Innominato offers a wide range of red fruit scents, with a note of spices and leather. To the palate, Innominato is clean and harmonious, with a strong body and alcohol content, that echoes a long lasting aftertaste.
Suggested food pairings: Innominato is a whole-meal wine, that excels when paired with roasted meats, wild game, and fatty cheeses such as Gorgonzola.
